The teaching and learning of ICT in a primary school.
This should be in the form of an electronic presentation. There will not be time to actually present it - but it should include notes and other supporting material as if it were being presented to a group of colleagues. For further briefing notes see this PowerPoint.
Please note this assignment should be equivalent to 1,500 words, with an accepted 10% being allowed. Acceptable file types are PowerPoint, Promethean Flipchart, Smart Notebook, Word (other filetypes may be accepted with prior agreement).
Whether in the presenter notes or on-screen, references should be handled just as they would in a more formal written assignment. There should be a full bibliography, again arranged as it would for an essay.
Ideally it would describe the manner in which ICT is taught at the school in which you work, with comparisons to advice/research from a variety of sources. It may be that more detail/examples of pupils' work is provided from just one year group - but you should show knowledge of how ICT could be delivered from Reception class to Year 6. The ICT task will help you to collect some information about what your school aspires to do, and provide a good framework on which to build.
The printed version of the assignment should be handed in at reception, as you have been asked to so with all assignments. If you are able to put the electronic version on a CD put this in the pocket with your printed work ( make sure that it is labeled wit your name - the module code and also put, "tutor: Graha Dean". If you aren't able to put the electronic version on a CD, bring it into the final session on a memory stick.
