be aware of the main elements of the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2
know where to find information about the ICT National Curriculum requirements

be aware of some areas for development of personal skills to support teaching and learning
additionally ... for those who were absent last week - last week's session objectives and have read these notes

Something that I forgot to mention last week: for the sake of the forests (and keeping the room tidy) - there will be few (if any) handouts. All the notes, etc. that I provide will be on this website. You can choose what you wish to print - or better still - just read it from the screen!

National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2

Working in pairs - One open this PowerPoint presentation and the other this document.
Which file describes the more demanding activities (one is the National Curriculum Programmes of Study (PoS)KS1 NC, the other KS2)?
Describe the additional requirements at KS 2.

Need for a scheme of work to ensure continuity and progression - but schemes are not statutary! Find out what scheme of work your school follows for ICT - and try to observe an ICT lesson (link to Task 8?) before Jan 31 session.
