By the end of the session you should:
In Word or PowerPoint select an object or a some text then right click over it.

Either browse to the file you wish the link to open, paste a web address in the bottom line or
if it's another place in the document click on the appropriate button.
For animations - choose custom animations. For sound - insert sound. I'll demonstrate these in the session

A free DTP program that you can download from here (choose scribus-1.3.3.12-win32-install.exe for use with a Windows PC). You may have to allow the download, then save the file. Double click on the saved file to install the program.
This link takes you to a page listing of free software that can be downloaded onto your own computers (scroll down the page for start of the list - security settings in college will prevent this being done on college machines). I'll demonstrate the process on my own machine.
