New - download walks to your Kindle

Six walks can now be downloaded as Kindle books, which you can download from Amazon and take on the walk with you to read on a Kindle, (or other mobile device with the free Kindle app). Other walks will be available in this format in the near future.

2011 started off well, but in the end we still didn't complete 12 walks suitable for inclusion on the website - let's hope we do better in 2012! The latest walks added are part of the Thames Path between Kew and Richmond Bridges, in Pendle's Shadow, and Holcombe Moor and TowerTower.

The most downloaded walks in 2011 were:

1. A circular walk from Ramsbottom - Irwell Valley
2. Ribchester, Hothersall Hall and a short section of the Ribble Way
3. A circular walk from the centre of Durham, to Shincliffe
4. Burnsall to Grassington via Hebden
5. Janet's Foss, Goredale Scar & Malham Cove, Yorkshire Dales
