Follow the unclassified road opposite the police station past Little Reynoldston. At Reynoldston
Green road junctions we turned left for refreshment at the pub, before continuing across the green on the
track opposite the King Arthur (the photograph shows the view back to the pub). Turn left along the road,
then follow the footpath sign on the right (opposite the Post Office - still in business when we did the walk!).

The path leads up to the ridge. Just before reaching the highest point, turn right onto the
path which runs along the ridge. Where this meets the road, turn left to view the burial chamber known
as Arthur's Stone. Re-trace steps to road, then cross and follow bridlepath sign between
two large stones. About 400 metres along the path there is a display on the left which indicates
the features that can been seen in different directions. The path continues along, or close to, the
highest points of the ridge, eventually pasing to the right of a trig point.

We walked to the left of the
rocky outcrop, then continued down the path until it met a stony track. Follow the track to
the right then left at the next junction. Turn left on to a minor road. Pass through a metal kissing
gate next to a cattle grid continue ahead and cross main road. Turn first right (or to shorten the route continue
ahead, go through North Hills Farm). At the end of the road, follow the path past
a metal gate. Continue straight ahead, following sign for Southgate Head, where a path leads
to the right.

The path emerges on the beach close to stepping stones. Cross these and walk
across the beach to meet a path below the opposite cliffs. Turn left and follow the path over a
boardwalk. Continue along path, with stream meandering on your left. Ignore paths on the right.
Follow the path through woodland, then turn left to cross footbridge over river. The narrow path runs alongside
a field (sometimes used as a car park) to emerge on to the road opposite Shepherd's. As we were
staying at the Old Barn at the Heritage Centre, we crossed the road, and returned down the back road.
The bus stop for the Gower Explorer services in either direction is just outside Shepherd's.
